This is a set of 5 motor mounts for your Honda Odyssey EX-L or Touring. This set does not fit the 2007 models. The front and rear mounts are compatible with 2007 models, but the other mounts are not. This set containts a front and rear electric Active Control Mount (ACM). The EX-L and Touring models are VCM equipped vans that require electric mounts to work along side the VCM cylinder deactivation system. VCM deactivates cylinders during cruising to save fuel. This happens mainly during commuting. When cylinders become deactivated, the engine will vibrate more. These Active Control Mounts are part of the VCM system, and are designed to counter these vibrations. The VCM can be disabled to get around this. If you are looking to get around entire issue ths by disabling the VCM system entirely, we can offer recommendations to other companies who offer simple products that can acheive this without any interference with other vehicle electronics. Disabling VCM comes at a small cost however; you will get around 1-2 mpg less.

These electric mounts are normal wear items that need to be replaced periodically. We typically see an average life span of 5 years or so for this type of electric mount regardless of wheter or not you purchase OEM or aftermarket. Some may last longer, some may be shorter, and this depends on the type of driving you do. Stop and go can shorten the life drastically, and regional weather (Eg: dry and hot) can also affect its lifespan. We warranty these engine mounts for 5 years regardless of the type of driving you do.

The special design of these Active Control Mounts increases the cost draistically. Our mounts are designed to keep the cost down, while still getting the job done and maintaining their normal lifespan, Unfortunately you can't use the regular rubber mounts from the EX, LX, and DX model Odyssey vans to save money. Replacing them will ensure other components such as ground cables, wire harnesses, air conditioning lines, etc. won't get damaged from the engine physically moving around. Typical symptoms of a bad engine mount are a "thump" sound when stepping on the gas, and for these electric mounts, you will feel more vibrations while VCM is activated. This may not always be the case however. Many don't notice anything as the part slowly wears out. New engine mounts will allow your engine to be held in place properly and dampen vibrations.
