Engine mounts for the 2006-2011 Honda Civic can break over time from age, stress, and even oil leaks. This motor mount set is for the automatic transmission Civic. The manual transmission uses a different torque strut upper mount. Replacing the motor mounts in your Civic will ensure other components won't get damaged from the engine physically moving around. Typical symptoms of a bad engine mount are a "thump" sound when stepping on the gas. This may not always be the case however. Many don't notice anything as the part slowly wears out. New engine mounts will allow your engine to be held in place properly.
