This is a 4 piece set for the 98-02 Accord 2.3L 4 Cyl with the automatic transmission. The rear motor mount in this set has the vacuum fitting as required. This set is not compatible with the manual transmission due to the rear mount. The manual transmission Accord shares the front, and front left mount only. We have a set of mounts for your manual transmission 2.3L Accord as well. Engine mounts for the 1998-2002 Honda Accord 2.3L can break over time from age, stress, and even oil leaks. Especially the front and front left mount. Those two mounts in this vehicle take most of the pressure from the engine accelerating and decelerating. The front motor mount in particular takes on the most stress.Replacing them will ensure other components won't get damaged from the engine physically moving around. Typical symptoms of a bad engine mount are a "thump" sound when stepping on the gas. This may not always be the case however. Many don't notice anything as the part slowly wears out. New engine mounts will allow your engine to be held in place properly.
