This is a lower torque strut motor mount for the 2006-2011 Honda Civic. The lower torque strut on the 2006-2011 manual transmission Civic is shorter than the upper torque strut mount. Torque strut mounts can break over time from age, stress, and even oil contamination. Replacing them will ensure other components won't get damaged from the engine physically moving around. Typical symptoms of a bad engine mount are a "thump" sound when stepping on the gas. This may not always be the case however, especally with a torque strut mount. Replacing this mount will improve engine vibration and save other components that are near by. Driving during a prolonged period of time with a broken mount can cause the other mounts to break sooner as they take on additional stress. Many don't notice anything as the part slowly wears out, so it is important to inspect these mounts periodically.
