This is a rear differential dynamic damper for your Honda CR-V or Honda Element. This fits automatic or manual Honda CR-V 4WD, but only the manual transmission 4WD Honda Element. This mount is attached to the support bracket of the rear differential, and dampens vibration in the drive line. Symptoms of a bad differential damper in your CR-V or Honda Element is a "clunk" noise occasionally. If you physically inspect it, the main/center rod will have significant play when moving it by hand. Replacing this differential mount will help protect the drive train components from any additional damage.
