This is a transmission mount for your Ford Escape, Mazda Tribute, or Mercury Mariner with the 2.3L, 2.5L 3.0L engines.This is for the automatic 2wd models. Engine mounts for these vehicles can break over time from age, stress, and even oil leaks. Replacing them will ensure other components such as ground cables, wire harnesses, Air Conditioning lines, etc. won't get damaged from the engine physically moving around. Typical symptoms of a bad engine mount are a "thump" sound when stepping on the gas. This may not always be the case however. Many don't notice anything as the part slowly wears out. New engine mounts will allow your engine to be held in place properly.
