This is a torque strut motor/engine mount for your Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan. This is compatible with both the 2.3L 4 cylinder, and 3.0L V6 engines. This is also referred to as a "dog bone" mounts as well. This mount can break over time from age, stress, and even oil leaks. Torque strut mounts tend to normally wear faster than the other mounts. Replacing this mount will ensure other components such as ground cables, wire harnesses, air Conditioning lines, etc. won't get damaged from the engine physically moving around. Typical symptoms of a bad engine mount are a "thump" sound when stepping on the gas. This may not always be the case however. Many don't notice anything as the part slowly wears out. New engine mounts will allow your engine to be held in place properly.
