2007 Mercury Grand Marquis Ignition Coil

2007 Mercury Grand Marquis Ignition Coil Packs

The 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis uses the DG508 ignition coils with the angled rubber boot. This ignition coil is used for all Ford 2v 4.6L V8 Engines. Replacing these ignition coils can be a burden for many as the local auto parts store sell these for $40 all the way up to $100 EACH. This is simply not worth it for many owners when quality ignition coils can be found for less than half. The big question that everybody has is quality. Those big price you see are just big markups. These coil packs are in high demand. We are able to get our own brand of high quality aftermarket ignition coils for a price that will blow many people away. We do this by purchasing several thousand ignition coils at once. Yes, several thousand DG508 coils just so we can get the special price. Let us do all of the leg work so you can find the products you need at prices that work. On top of this, we are confident in the quality of our ignition coil packs for your Grand Marquis. We offer a lifetime warranty, good for as long as you own your 2007 Grand Marquis. If you have a bad ignition coil during the time you own your Grand Marquis, then we will pay for the return, and send a replacement free of charge. That's of course if you do, because while failures of our products are not common, we know things happen. Nothing is perfect at the end of the day, and we want you to be covered. We also allow a full 2 months to return ignition coils if you find out there is another problem with your Grand Marquis. May retailers do not even allow returns of these parts (even if they are uninstalled!).

Replacing Ignition Coils on 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis.

Don't be too intimidated with this job. If you know how to change your oil, then you know how change your ignition coils. Our goal is to empower our customers, both men and women to be able to diagnose a problem with their Grand Marquis and SAVE MONEY. We know that a diagnostic runs around $100, and this job with parts included can run from $500 to $1000. This only takes a couple of hours out of your day. Each ignition coil is held on with a 7mm bolt. You don't even have to remove the fuel rail to remove the coil packs. They swing right around the fuel rail very easily (even though it looks like they don't fit). If you don't know how to diagnose your Grand Marquis, please read this before taking it to the shop. We know you have maybe given up, but we want to give you that last bit of hope. We will start off with the hard to easy diagnostic. The hard to find misfire is VERY COMMON on the 2v 4.6L Ford V8 engine. The 2007 Grand Marquis uses this exact motor. Many owners will experience a misfire while the engine is being put under a load (acceleration), but there is NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. Very fristrating right? You can't simply plug your regular OBDII scanner in, because a check engine light needs to be on for it to work. There is something called Mode 6. The OCM computer in the 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis records every single misfire, and will not turn on the check engine light if it doesn't think it's bad. Check out our full guide on how to do this with a video as well!
