This is a coil on plug type, meaning your Toyota or Lexus uses one coil for every spark plug. These ignition coils are for the 3.5L V6 Toyota and Lexus vehicles only. They do not fit any other engine. Make sure to see the fitment list to see if they will fit your 3.5L V6 Toyota or Lexus. If the ignition coils are several years old, and one goes bad, it is generally recommended to replace all of the ignition coils at the same time. An ignition coil (also referred to as coil pack, coil on plug/COP, coil over plug) is a crucial part of your ignition system. Ignition coil is a miniature power transformer, which converts the 12v in the electrical system of your Toyota or Lexus into tens of thousands of volts. This will send the voltage to the spark plug, and ignite the fuel. Common misfire codes are P0300 (random) P0301 (cyl #1) P0302 (cyl#2) etc.
