3.4L V6

In 1995, Toyota introduced the waste spark style ignition coils for the 1995 Toyota Tacoma 3.4L V6. This coils setup consisted of 3 ignition coils instead of 6. 3 above one cylinder bank, and 3 spark plug wires on the other cylinder bank. This allowed savings, along with better control of vehicle timing, performance, fuel economy and emissions. These ignition coils for the Toyota 3.4L V6 wear in the same environment, and are usually recommended to be replaced together if one fails, and the coils are several years old.
