Ignition Coils For Toyota FJ Cruiser

 

The FJ Cruiser uses the 4.0L 1GR-FE V6 engine. It uses 6 independent ignition coils, 3 on each bank. The engine is mounted longitudinal so the coils are a little easier to access as they are on the left and right side. Much better than front to back. When one of these coils fails, may owners notice that the others will fail not long after.  Sometimes it's immediate, other times it's within a few months.
