Ignition Coil for 2007 Toyota Avalon

Ignition Coils for 2007 Toyota Avalon

If the coils in your 2007 Toyota Avalon 3.5 V6 are causing a misfire, chances are that you will have to replace all 6 within the coming months. These ignition coils (coil packs), usually fail within a similar time frame. Replacing these with coil packs from the local store can be extremely pricey. Some owners have reported seeing prices of up to $80, and even $100 for each coil!  At Araparts, we have the full set of 6 ignition coils at incredible prices. A lot of people ask, "why are your coil packs so cheap"? Our ignition coils are priced much lower than local stores because we sell directly to the consumer, rather than to the stores. We also have a how-to section to help you with replacing the coils in your 2007 Avalon.

Replacing all 6 coils in your Avalon

Many owners ask if it is absolutely necessary to change all of the coils at the same time. The short answer is no. The main reason why all ignition coils get changed out is if they are original, or around the 7 year old mark. When one old coil fails, the others start to go bad not too long after. This is more time diagnosing issues, more labor, more trips to the store, etc. Replacing all 6 coils will save time, hassle, and even money because the bundles/kits of ignition coils are usually much much cheaper than buying singles. This is true for both local and online. In rare cases we have heard of ignition coils failing within 1 day from one another during an extreme weather change like a heat wave, or a cold snap. This won't happen to most owners however. The normal time between failures that we've seen is usually months to about a year or so apart. This is why we recommend replacing all 6 coils at once.

How to tell if your 2007 Avalon has a bad ignition coil/coil pack

Bad ignition coils can be easy or very difficult to pinpoint. If a coil pack is completely dead, it is very easy to locate the bad coil. If you plug your OBDII scanner in, you may get something like a P0303, which means cylinder number 3 misfire. If a coil is occasionally misfiring, you can use an OBDII scanner with mode 6 functionality to simply plug into your vehicle computer and find out which cylidner is occasionally misfiring. Sometimes the onboard computer does not turn on a check engine light if it doesn't determine the misfire to be severe enough. Common symptoms would be the feeling like your vehicle is "chugging along", or the engine shaking too much. Some also describe the symptoms as "surging" or "hiccuping" and misfires tend to feel like this.

Rest assured, if your 2007 Avalon does have a bad ignition coil, no need to spend big bucks to get it fixed. We have ignition coils at unbeatable prices. Continue on to find out just how much money you can save.
