Ignition Coils For 2006 Saab 9-3

If you 2006 Saab 9-3 has been misfiring, you have come to the right place. We have the ignition coils for the 2007 Saab 9-3. These are commonly referred to as coil packs, but the proper term is ignition coil, or "COP" (coil on plug). Ignition coil failure with these models are fairly common, and replacing the coils can be very costly as the dealer, and the aftermarket auto stores want a lot of money for each coil. We have the entire set of 4 coils for the 2007 9-3 for an incredible price. Keep in mind that the ignition coils between the 2.0 Turbo 4 and the 2.8 6 cyl are not the same. When looking for coils, make sure to select the correct engine to find the right ignition coils.

How to tell if you have a bad ignition coil

A misfiring engine is a sign that you may have a bad ignition coil. Misfiring is a chugging, or hiccupping feeling as you drive your Saab 9-3. You may also have a check engine light that is on, and when the misfire is bad enough, you will get a flashing check engine light. A flashing check engine light means that the matter must be taken care of as soon as possible. When you use an OBDII scanner, you will get the following misfire codes: P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, and P0306. These codes will help you to identify which ignition coil is misfiring. A good recommendation to find out for sure if you have a bad ignition coil is to swap the misfiring coil to another cylinder. Once that is done, reset the check engine light and drive the vehicle. When the check engine light comes back on, scan it. If the code follows the ignition coil, then you know for sure you have a bad coil. If the misfire code does not follow the ignition coil, then you may have another issue. This method will help you narrow down the issue.

Replacing the ignition coils in your 2006 Saab 9-3

Replacing the ignition coils is not as difficult as many may think. Check out our how-to section to find out what is needed to do this job. If your coils are old (usually 7 years or older) and one fails, we recommend to replace all of the coils. If the coils are not very old, you may be able to get away with replacing just one coil. These are pretty pricey at the local store. They can range from $50-$100 each or more. We sell the entire sets for incredible prices that simply cannot be matched by the local stores. Buying the bundle of ignition coils is a great way to save money also. Whether it be local or online, it will be much cheaper (hint hint: online bundles are still cheaper than buying local)
