This is usually accompanied by a check engine light. Common OBDII codes are P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0355, and P0356. For the Saab specifically, you may also notice ignition coil primary/secondary circuit malfunction codes like P0351(Coil A), P0352(Coil B), P0353 (Coil C), P0354 (Coil D), P0355 (Coil E), and P0356 (Coil F). While normally this is an indicator that there is a break in the wiring somewhere, for Saabs, this could also indicator a bad igniter, which is built into each ignition coil. This means the coil needs to be replaced. This is when you may get a check engine light, but no misfire symptoms at all. This is something to keep an eye on with the Saab 9-3.
