Ignition Coil Replacement For 2004 Nissan Sentra

The 2004 Sentra uses 4 individual ignition coils. 2004 was a year where the Sentra got a face lift to a more modern design. Bigger headlights, and much nicer options for wheels, etc. As these coils age, they can fail, causing a misfire. Common misfire codes are P0301, P0302, P0303, and P0304. The last number on each of these codes represents the cylinder number. The number 1 cylinder is the closest cylinder to the passenger's side of the vehicle (or closest to the belts and pulleys). We have the same quality ignition coils for much lower prices than the local auto parts stores.

Many owners experience issues with the ignition coils, the MAF (mass airflow) sensor, and the crank and cam sensors.  These are other issue that can cause a misfire besides the ignition coils. One easy way is to scan the computer to see which cylinders are misfiring. Swap the ignition coil from the misfiring cylinder to another cylinder, and reset the computer with your OBDII scanner, or by disconnecting the battery for at least one minute. If the misfire moves to the same cylinder you swapped the coil to, then you will know that the coil needs to be replaced. Let us know whether your 2004 Sentra has the 1.8L or the 2.5L motor so our website can guide you to the correct part and save you money.
