The 2008 Maxima was the last year of the sixth generation, and it uses the same ignition coil set up as the early model sixth generation Maximas, There are 6 individual ignition coils. As these age, they tend to fail within a short timeframe from each other. Many of our customers tell us that local store prices are simply too much for them to deal with. We have quality ignition coils for incredible prices. In many cases we have all 6 for the price of just one from the brick and mortar stores. Continue on to see our pricing.

Ignition Coil Replacement For 2008 Nissan Maxima

2008 was the last year of the sixth generation Nissan Maxima (2003-2008). Replacing the ignition coils in your 2008 Nissan Maxima doesn't require an expert, even though the job may look intimidating. The intake manifold has to be removed, but we have a how-to guide on how to do this. We have sets of 6 ignition coils for the 2008 Maxima 3.5L V6 at fantastic prices. Common misfire codes for this is P0301, P0302, p0302, P0304, P0305, and P0306.  The last number on each of these codes represents the cylinder number. When a check engine light is on, you can use any basic OBDII scanner to find out why. If you don't own one of these tools, we highly recommend to purchase one. These will save you thousands of dollars in diagnostic repairs and many trips to the mechanic shop. Plus, you can find them these days for well under $20 at many online retailers. There are many reasons why the ignition coil packs in your 2008 Maxima can fail. Even though these are not part of the regular maintenance schedule, these do have a lifespan. If you live in a state where it is very humid, you will need to replace these much sooner than someone who lives in a dry climate, so don't panic just yet. It's not unusual to have a bad ignition coil in your Maxima. Another reason why these fail is the main ground cable breaking. The main ground attaches to the transmission, and goes to the negative terminal on the battery. It was a known issue that these cables corroded and break off causing lots of problems with the electrical system in your Maxima. There are even rumors that at one point these cables were being replaced so often that they were on back order for a while. While we are not sure if this is true or not, these cables are usually available at your local dealer and can be easily replaced. After replacing this cable, you will want to make sure your ECU/ECM is functioning properly. The ECU and ignition coils are the first items to get damaged in these type of ground cable failures, and if you replace the ignition coils without ensuring these components are in good working order, then the new ignition coils can burn up really quickly. In some cases, they burn up as soon as you start your vehicle. We give this information to our customers so they can avoid any additional spending while repairing their Maxima. Not every mechanic is aware of this issue, but we want you to be aware of it. Our goal is to save you as much money as possible. Even though we sell parts, we want you to save on the diagnostic, the repair, and we want you to avoid as many issues as possible to make this repair frictionless.
