Ignition Coil Replacement For 1999 Nissan Maxima

 

1999 was the last year for the fourth generation (A32). This Maxima had the same VG30 3.0L V6 engine with the 6 individual ignition coils, just like the previous A32 body style Maximas. The front three are different than the rear three coils. When these fail, the engine will run rough, misfire, or even stall (if more than one is bad). If the coils in your 99' Maxima are several years old, or original, and one fails, it's a good practice to replace all 6. Many owners have noted that after one fails, the other old ignition coils start to fail not long after. These are very pricey from the local auto parts store. We have the full set of 6 for much less.
