Ignition Coil For 2003 Mazda Tribute

2003 Mazda Tribute Ignition Coil Packs

The 2003 Mazda Tribute 4 Cyl uses a single ignition coil pack that distributes the spark to all of the cylinders. The 2003 3.0L V6 Mazda Tribute uses 6 individual ignition coil on plugs. When these fail, you will experience a rough running engine, and a check engine light. There are times that you may get a misfire without a check engine light. You can find any regular misfire with a basic sub $20 OBDII scanner. For a no check engine light misfire, you can find it with a Mode 6 scanner. These start at about $50 online and up. New ignition coils in your Mazda Tribute will restore power and fuel economy. Our ignition coils have a lifetime warranty which is good for as long as you own your Mazda Tribute. The warranty also covers shipping back and fourth. Unlike many other retailers, Araparts has been in business for over 10 years without any signs of stopping. Sure other retailers offer a lifetime warranty, but how long have they been in business? Do you know their actual business name? Put your trust in a known brand. We are a small business, but a large volume retailer. We ship ignition coils nationwide, and the quality of our product is similar to, if not better than the ignition coils at the local auto parts store.

2003 Mazda Tribute Misfire Diagnosis

There are two different ways to find the misfire. First way with with your OBDII scanner that we talked about a little earlier. The other way with Mode 6. We didn't talk much about that, but since this 2003 Mazda uses the Ford PCM computer, you can use the same technique used on Fords. You see, the PCM computer records all misfires, and will not turn on the check engine light if it determines the problem is not significant. This is enough to drive just about anybody crazy. We estimate about 9.5 out of 10 customers we speak to about their vehicles are not aware they can find the problem like this. Most mechanics charge $100 just to look at your vehicle. Why spend this type of money when you can save and do the job yourself? We are about empowering our customers to save money and take power into their hands.

2003 Mazda Tribute Ignition Coil Replacement

Replacing the ignition coils in the 4 Cyl Mazda Tribute is a very easy task. The ignition coils is well within view, and is a simple unbolt and bolt the new coil pack on. The 3.0L V6 intimidates many people, however it is also very easy to do. There are three coil packs underneath the intake manifold, and it looks like a major job. We want to remind our readers however that this intake manifold was designed to be easily removed for service. It takes a professional just under 10 minutes to remove it, and a beginner 20-30 minutes. Not so bad now, right! The intake air box must be removed, along with the throttle body, the EGR valve, and the vacuum hoses around the intake manifold. Then you can remove the bolts holding it down, and you'll have full access to the three ignition coils.
