Ignition Coils For 2006 Ford Freestyle

Your 2006 Ford Freestyle uses 6 ignition coil on plugs. One of the main original part numbers is DG500. This means that there is one ignition coil that sits right on top of each spark plug. When these coil packs are old, and one fails, it is best to change all 6 together. The only issue is that these are too pricey at to local auto parts stores. These can run up to $70 for each ignition coil. When shopping with Araparts, you can be sure that you will save money on the parts we sell without compromising quality. Our goal is to get you back on the road without spending tons of money.

High Quality Aftermarket Ignition Coils For Your 2006 Ford Freestyle

Yes, our price are low, but are quality is high. We buy from the same manufacturers that sell to many of the other large brands, but we sell direct to you. the coils we sell for the Freestyle are built to perform exactly like the original equipment coil packs. Not to mention, we are so confident in the quality of them that we offer a lifetime warranty which is good for as long as you own your Freestyle. This warranty will replace any bad ignition coil, and also pays for all shipping back and fourth. Even though we maintain a much lower than average defect rate, but bad parts can still happen. This is to make sure that you are 100% taken care of if anything were to happen.

Determining if Your 2006 Freestyle Actually Has a Bad Ignition Coil

To start this off, failed ignition coils is a common problem with this vehicle, but there are other reason why your engine might be misfiring. First things first is you will need an OBDII scanner. These can be found for under $10 online, and for a decent price locally. These devices can be used to scan check engine lights on any US made vehicle 1996 and newer. When you have a check engine light, scan to see what is going on. You will get a misfire code. If your misfire is not random, swap the bad coil to another cylinder. Reset the computer and drive the vehicle until the check engine light comes back on. If the misfire is now on the cylinder that you moved the coil pack to, then you know for sure that you have a bad ignition coil. if the misfire does not move, then there is another problem and you have just narrowed it down. Replacing these coils are not too difficult of a process. The only part that intimidates many people is that the back three coil packs are underneath the intake manifold. Removing the intake manifold is not a difficult process. See our how-to section to find out what is required in removing the intake manifold. You'd be surprised at how much money you can also save by doing the job yourself.

If you still need help in finding the right coil packs, feel free to reach out to us, and we will be happy to answer and questions and guide you to the right parts. We can even take the order over the phone!
