Ignition Coil for a 2006 Ford Five Hundred

Ignition Coils For 2006 Ford Five Hundred

The 2006 Ford Five Hundred uses the 3.0L V6 shared with other Ford models of this generation. This engine uses 6 individual coil on plugs. As these age, they tend to fail not far apart from each other. If you are reading this, you may have noticed that the local auto parts stores sell these for $40 and up per coil. This is simply not affordable for many people who have so many obligations. At Araparts, we are here to solve this problem. We carry high quality, low cost ignition coils for the 2006 Ford Five Hundred at prices that are simply unbeatable by the local stores. We do this by purchasing the same exact parts high volume. We get the true wholesale price, and sell directly to our customers, passing the savings along to the end user. Araparts have been a topic on many forums with people interested in our prices, but concerned with the quality. We work hard to ensure that our quality remains high. On top of this, we offer a lifetime warranty, good for as long as you own your 2006 Ford Five Hundred.

Important Information Before Replacing the Ignition Coils in Your 2006 Ford Five Hundred.

We have heard stories of the PCM causing ignition coil failures. There are now many companies that sell rebuilt PCMs as this issue has become more prominent. We recommend making sure your PCM is operating properly before replacing the ignition coils, otherwise you will be redoing the same job all over again. Many mechanics recommend replacing the PCM every time the ignition coils are replaced. While we don't think this is necessary (most of our customers have no issue) we do recommend looking up the test procedure for this part as a precaution. Removing the intake manifold to replace the firewall side ignition coils is not too difficult of a task. Check out our how-to section to learn what is needed in this job. We recommend getting an OBDII scanner to easily diagnose a misfire. Bad coils on the 2006 Ford Five Hundred is actually a common issue with these. When scanning the service engine light, you will get a code P0300 (random) through P0306 (Cylinder# 6). This will help you identify which cylinders are misfiring. From there you can determine if it is the ignition coil pack, or something else causing the issue.

Symptoms Of a Misfire in Your 2006 Ford Five Hundred

A misfire will typically feel like the engine is skipping a beat. The worse the misfire, the rougher the engine will run. For example an occasional misfire will feel like the engine is hesitating while accelerating. A heavy misfire will be impossible to ignore. A heavy misfire will also trigger a service engine light. If the misfire is bad, the engine light will flash. This means that there is an immediate issue that needs to be resolved as soon as possible. Continue on to find out just how much money you can save by shopping with Araparts. From the parts themselves to the diagnostic, and the replacement we want you to keep you money where it belongs: In your pocket.
