The modern Ford E150 uses 8 individual ignition coils, and it isn't too uncommon for them to go bad. It shares the same DG508 ignition coils with many other Fords that also use the 4.6L and 5.4L V8. When one coil goes bad, and the rest are several years old, it is best to replace all 8. Many E150 owners experience this at some point in time. While the local store can have them for $40 or more for EACH coil, we have the entire set of 8 for under $100. They also come with a lifetime warranty, and they ship for free. Let us know what the year and engine size of your E150 is, and our website will guide you to the coils you need at a price that is affordable. You can also call us at (916) 585-6835 if you are unsure about fitment.

Ford E150 Van Ignition Coil Replacement

Ignition Coil For Ford E150 Van

The Ford E150 and Econoline van is the most popular van in the USA. These vans also go by the name club wagon. With multiple engine options such as the 4.6L V8, 5.4L V8 and 6.8L V10, these vans were capable of doing everything from getting the job done to carrying a family in comfort (the conversion vans). With its chassis, it was used for just about.....everything. Some of the uses include ambulance, school bus, box van, ice cream truck, motor home, camper, deluxe comfort (the conversion van with captain chairs and curtains) and many more. Most of these vans use the modern ignition coil setup. Some of them use the single coil pack, and most of them use the coil on plug setup. When one of the coils goes bad, it is generally recommended to replace all 8 at once, especially if the coils are several years old. This is mainly because they are made at the same time, and have around the same lifespan. We have ignition coils for the E150/Econoline vans. Our aftermarket ignition coils are identical to the originals in performance, reliability, and fitment. Select your year and engine to find some for your E150 or Econoline van.

Replacing all 8 coils in your E-150

If the coils in your E-van are original and over 7 years old and one fails, it's best to replace all 8 coils as old ignition coils tend to fail within a short period of time from one another. Replacing all 8 can also save you time and money when purchasing the bundle of coils. It can seem very difficult to purchase all 8 coils if you visit a local auto parts store. The local auto parts stores have these for $40 all the way up to $70 for each igntiion coil. We have the entire set for a lot less than the local auto parts store can touch. Common misfire codes in your Ford E-150 are P0301 (Cyl #1 misfire) all the way to P0308 (Cyl # 8 misfire).  You can use an OBDII scanner to find these misfires in your E-150 van. If you don't have a check engine light, check out our Araparts Youtube channel to find out how to locate these misfires.

How can we offer ignition coils at such low prices?

This is a very frequently asked question by many of our customers, so don't feel bad if this is on your mind, and don't feel bad asking us over the phone. We are able to sell our auto parts at much lower prices than the local auto store by purchasing several hundred to several thousand parts at once. This allows us to sell the same exact quality auto parts to you at an extremely discounted price compared to a dealer or auto store. We understand how expensive it is to repair your vehicle, and we want to make things cheaper. We even have a how-to section to help you with doing the job at home and saving even more money. The Ford E-150 van uses independent ignition coils (except for the 1997-1999 4.6L). All of the E- series vans that use the coil on plugs use the DG508 ignition coil.

If you still need help finding the right ignition coils for your E-series van, feel free to reach out to us by phone or email, and we will be happy to find the right coils for your F150 van.
