2008

The 2008 Acura TL 3.2L V6 uses six independent ignition coil on plugs. These coil packs can be quite pricey from local stores to many people, and that's what we're here for. We bring quality ignition coils to you for a price that's hard for any local store to come close to.

2008 Acura TL Ignition Coil Packs

2008 was the last year of the third generation Acura TL. It still used the same 3.2L V6 with the same independent ignition coil on plug set up as the previous third generation Acura TL models. These ignition coils can run around $100 when pricing them at local stores and dealers. We have the full set of 6 ignition coils for a little more than the cost of just one of the local store coil prices in many cases. We don't do this by cutting down quality. We order large amounts to bring our cost down, and pass these savings on to our customers. On top of this, we include a lifetime warranty on our Araparts brand ignition coils for your 2007 Acura TL. We also include a 2.5g packet of dielectric grease which helps to keep moisture away from the ignition coils and spark plugs. On top of our lifetime warranty, we allow a full 2 months to return an item for any reason. Often times many people accidentally misdiagnose a problem with their TL, and end up ordering the wrong part. We understand this happens. That's why we don't charge restocking fees.

Reasons For Ignition Coil Failure in Your 2008 Acura TL

One reason is worn out spark plugs. As spark plugs wear, the gap between the center electrode, and the electrode tip increases. As it increases resistance, forcing the ignition coil to work harder to supply energy to the spark plug. This can cause premature ignition coil failure and an engine misfire. Using proper spark plugs with a gap of 0.044 (required for 2008 TL 3.2L V6)  will make your TL run much better, and prolong the life of your coil packs. Other reasons for failure are improperly washing the engine bay. Many people use pressure washers and get the water too close to the connectors. Even though the connectors are sealed, high pressure water can still get in damaging the coils and other components. If you live in a very humid environment, then the ignition coils will not last as long as someone who lives in a dry climate. There is nothing you can do about this as humidity is the main enemy of electrical components. Other reasons are a bad ECU, bad valve cover gaskets leaking oil onto the spark plug and ignition coils, and improperly diagnosing a misfire. Yes, you can damage an ignition coil by diagnosing the wrong way. Many people end up lifting the coil pack off of the spark plug while the engine is running to see if there is a change. While this method can work, it can also damage the ignition coils as there is nowhere for the high voltage to go. The correct way of doing this is by disconnecting the 12v (low voltage) connector while the engine is running, and NOT removing the ignition coil. Our goal is to save you money by helping you properly diagnose any issues you may be experiencing in your 2008 TL.
