2004

The 2003 Acura MDX had six individual ignition coil on plugs. As these age, they tend to fail within a similar time frame making it necessary to replace all 6 and get the job done and over with. We have the full set of 6 quality ignition coils for the price of one local coil pack without compromising quality. We purchase large volumes of a single ignition coil in order to be able to do this. On top of all of this, we offer a lifetime warranty on these. Continue on to find out how much money you can save on this repair.

2004 Acura MDX Ignition Coils

Ignition Coils For 2004 Acura MDX

If your 2004 MDX has been misfiring, you have come to the right place. we have ignition coils for much lower prices than the local auto parts store. The 2004 MDX 3.5l V6 uses 6 ignition coils. If the coils are several years old, or especially if they are the original coils, it is recommended to replace all of the coils at once. This is only if one goes bad. The others tend to go bad not too long afterwards. Replacing all 6 ignition coils in your 2004 Acura MDX can get pricey as these run from $70 all the way up to $120 for each ignition coil. As these fail, they tend to fail within a short time from each other, mainly if these are several years old (around 7 or more). At Araparts, we solve this issue by buying large quantities of these to get a real warehouse price, and pass these savings onto our customers. Because of this method, this allows us to offer the same quality ignition coils as the larger brands, but at a much lower price. On top of this, we include a lifetime warranty, which is good for as long as you own your 2003 MDX.

Cost To Replace all 6 Ignition Coils in Your 2003 Acura MDX

This can vary depending on where you get the parts from, and if you do this job yourself. If you take it to a local mechanic without bringing your own parts, this can cost $770 at the very minimum. Sounds crazy, right? We aren't making this up. Let's break it down: First you need 6 coil packs. $120 each because many shops mark these up (they have to make a living too, and we understand). Plus this job takes a little less than one hour, and the cheapest labor costs we have seen is $50 per hour. That's $770 plus tax. If you shop with Araparts, and do the work yourself, you will be paying just the cost of around one ignition coil....for the entire job. Not too bad, right? That's why we do this. It makes us happy to get testimonials from people who we have saved over $500 on repair costs. We want this to be you too. If you have basic mechanical experience, you can certainly do this repair in under one hour by yourself. Each ignition coil is held on by one 10mm bolt. Remove this bolt, twist the ignition coil to break the seal, and lift it up and out. The front and rear three ignition coils are very easy to change out. While the rear three coil packs may not be in view, and may seem intimidating to replace, they are not. A quick lean over the engine will reveal that they are not much more difficult to change than the fronts. Replacing the coils yourself can save you a lot of time and money on such a very simple repair. If you decide to change your spark plugs as well, make sure to get pre-gapped plugs (most plugs now are pre-gapped) or at least gapped to the manufacturer's gap of 0.044.
