This set of 4 motor mounts are compatible with the 1998-2002 Toyota Corolla 1.8L with the 3 speed automatic transmission. These will not fit the 4 speed automatic 1998-2002 Toyota Corolla 1.8L. All of these mounts are compatible with the 4 speed automatic except for the transmission mount. Engine mounts for the 1998-2002 Toyota Corolla 1.8l can break over time from age, stress, and even oil leaks. Replacing them will ensure other components such as ground cables, wire harnesses, Air Conditioning lines, etc. won't get damaged from the engine physically moving around. Typical symptoms of a bad engine mount are a "thump" sound when stepping on the gas. This may not always be the case however. Many don't notice anything as the part slowly wears out. New engine mounts will allow your engine to be held in place properly.
