This set does not fit XRS models. Engine mounts for the 2003-2008 Toyota Matrix can break over time from age, stress, and even oil leaks. Replacing them will ensure other components such as ground cables, wire harnesses, Air Conditioning lines, etc. won't get damaged from the engine physically moving around. Typical symptoms of a bad engine mount are a "thump" sound when stepping on the gas. This may not always be the case however. Many don't notice anything as the part slowly wears out. New engine mounts will allow your engine to be held in place properly.
