This front motor mount is for the 1993-1997 Toyota Corolla and Geo Prizm 1,6L and 1.8L. If you own a 1998-2001 Toyota Corolla, this only fits the manual transmission. These can break over time from age, stress, and even oil leaks. Replacing them will ensure other components such as gound cables, wire harnesses, Air Conditioning lines, etc. won't get damaged from the engine physically moving around. Typical symptoms of a bad engine mount are a "thump" sound when stepping on the gas. This may not always be the case however. Many don't notice anything as the part slowly wears out. New engine mounts will allow your engine to be held in place properly.
