Ignition Coil For 2004 Nissan Quest

Ignition Coils Replacement For 2004 Nissan Quest

The 2004 Nissan Quest has a powerful 3.5L V6 (VQ35) engine that uses 6 independent ignition coils. These are called coil on plugs, but many people still refer to these as "coil packs". Many owners of the 04' Quest may experience more than one coil going bad within a short time frame. This usually happens with old ignition coils. We have the full set of 6 ignition coils for the 2004 3.5L V6 Quest at significantly discounted prices over the local auto parts store. The 2004 Nissan Quest also has a common problem with the main ground cable breaking off which causes the ignition coils to fry. If you notice the coil packs in your 2004 Nissan Quest appear burnt, melted or scorched, then it is extremely important to replace the ground cable before installing the new ignition coils. If you do not do this, the new ignition coils will burn up within a very short period of time if not immediately. It's important to check the rest of the grounds as they are very important as well. These ignition coils can cost quite a bit at local stores; enough to where many of our customers ask us if the price we are asking for the entire set of 6 is for just one coil. We offer the entire set of 6 for almost the same price as one ignition coil in many cases, and our ignition coils are the same quality as the more expensive coil packs. We do this by purchasing several thousand ignition coils for just one vehicle. This allows us to get these at a real wholesale price and pass these savings on to our customers.

Replacing The Ignition Coil Packs In Your 2004 Nissan Quest

The 2004 Nissan Quest has three ignition coils in the front of the engine, and three ignition coils in the back. The front three ignition coils are very easy and straight forward to replace. They are amongst the easiest repairs under the hood as they sit right on top of the engine in the front. The back three require a little bit more work as the intake manifold/plenum must be removed. For the Nissan Quest, this isn't an extremely difficult job, but it does take at least 30 minutes to an hour for a beginner. Someone who has experience can remove this manifold in 20 minutes or less. We have a full how-to repair guide on how to do this for the Nissan Quest. If you are not sure how to find the bad coil pack in your Nissan Quest, get ahold of an OBDII scanner. These days, many online retailers offer these for under $20. With your scanner, you can plug it into the port underneath the driver's side of the dashboard, and it will give you a code. The ignition must be in the ON position, and the engine should be OFF (lights on the dashboard should be on). The scanner will give you a code. P0300 is a random misfire, P0301 is cylinder number one and P0306 is cylinder number 6. We have a cylinder diagram for the 2004 Nissan Quest to help you find the cylinder location of the misfire under the hood.
