Acura TL Ignition Coil

Acura TL Ignition Coil Replacement

The Acura TL took the world by storm with its sleek sporty and luxurious design combination. The design of the TL changed in 1999, 2004 3.2L V6, and 2009 3.2L V6. The V6 TL used a sophisticated ignition coil on plug system. For the TL, these are also referred to as COP and coil packs. This allowed for better control of ignition timing, allowing for better control of fuel efficiency, power, and economy. If one of the coils in the TL goes bad, and the coils are all several years old, it is recommended to replace all of the ignition coils at once. This is because they wear in the same environment, in the same driving conditions, at the same time. The coils sit directly over the spark plugs and are easily removed by unplugging the connector, and removing the bolt holding the coil down. We have ignition coils available for the TL with a warranty included. We don't just want to sell you some coils, we want to earn your business, and help you save money.

Acura TL Ignition Coil Replacement Cost

This cost can run from $120 if you do the job yourself all the way up to $400-$800 if you take it to a shop. Many parts stores can charge around $50 for each ignition coil. This doesn't include labor, which can run up to $100. We would like to help you find this misfire yourself. You can start with any basic OBDII scanner. If your check engine light is on, these will tell you what triggered your check engine light. These can be found for under $20 at many online retailers and you can use this for every vehicle 1996 and newer. Once you scan the check engine light in your Acura TL, you will get a misfire code. This can be P0300 (random), or P0301 through P0306. Once you find the cylinder in your TL that is misfiring, move the coil to another cylinder to see if the misfire code will follow the coil. You will have to run the engine for a little bit for it to be able to identify the new misfire location. Once you find the misfire, you can purchase the Ignition coils from us, then do the job yourself. The coil packs in this vehicle are quite easy to change. The front three ignition coils are very easy to access as they are right underneath the plastic cover. The rear three coil packs are also easy, even though they are not right in front of you. Standing on the passenger's side of the engine bay, you can easily see the three coils on the rear bank. So instead of spending several hundred dollars (up $1,000 in some cases) to do this job, you can do it for well under $200. In our case, we have the entire set of 6 ignition coils for almost the same price as one. Plus they are quality parts with a lifetime warranty, good for as long as you own your Acura TL.
