Ignition Coil For Mitsubishi Lancer

Ignition Coils For Mitsubishi Lancer

If you are looking for coils for your Lancer, we have them in stock. Some lancers have the waste spark set-up. This kind of set up has 2 ignition coils and 2 spark plugs wires that are connected to each ignition coil. In this case, all you need is 2 ignition coils. Other Lancers have 4 ignition coils. Whichever kind of setup you have, we can help you find out when you select the year make and model of your Lancer. We have ignition coils at significant discounts. We sell the entire set of 2, or 4, allowing you to save a substantial amount of money when it comes to replacing these parts. Many local parts stores and dealers can charge from $40 all the way up to $80 for each ignition coil. We have the entire set of 4 or 2 (depending on your Lancer's engine) for the price of one local ignition coil. We don't lower our prices by cutting down on quality, we do this by purchasing large amount as once. This way, we get real wholesale prices, and pass on the savings to our customers. The ignition coils we offer come with a lifetime warranty, good for as long as you own your Galant. Our main goal however is not to save you money on just the parts alone. We want you to save money on the entire process from diagnostic to repair.

Diagnosing a Bad Ignition Coil In your Mitsubishi Lancer

One tool you will certainly need is an OBDII scanner. This will be able to scan the ECU (main computer) and tell you why your check engine light is on. These are not expensive at all, considering they can be found for under $20  at many online retailers. If a coil fails, the check engine light will come on, and the engine will run very rough. It may feel like it's going to stall, or it may actually stall occasionally. When this happens, you will use your scanner to scan the check engine light. If you do have a misfire, you will see a code ranging from P0301 (Cylinder #1 misfire) through P0304 (Cylinder #4 misfire). P0300 means random misfire. Cylinder number one is closest to the drive belts and cylinder number 4 is furthest away from the drive belts. Before you go replacing the coil packs, you want to make sure that they are actually the problem. For some Mitsubishi Lancers that use a 2 ignition coils and spark plug wires, you will get a misfire code for 2 cylinders. To do this, simply swap the coil from the misfiring cylinder over to another cylinder and reset the ECU either with your scanner or by disconnecting the battery for at least 2 minutes. This prevents false readings by allowing the ECU to identify the new misfire location. If the misfire code changes to the cylinder the coil was moved to, then the coil is the problem. If there is no change, then there is another problem.

Please select the year, and engine size of your Lancer to find the ignition coils you have been looking for.
